Diamonds May Be A Girls Best Friend, But Emeralds Make Good Company As Well

1. THE RING:

To me, it is all about the subtle details. No need for a huge F-OFF Diamond. Just give me something that makes me feel an ethereal sense of elegance from another time. Is that too much to ask?

The Ring Below Is MY Dream Ring, I found it in an antique jewelry shop in London England when I was going to school there for Fashion Image. It looks alot bigger than it is. it is a medium sized diamond, with smaller surrounding diamonds and an emerald border. The band is so delicate and has tiny diamonds inlaid into it. I would have bought it for myself, if it was not around $10,000 but I would love to have it made custom one day. I am a sucker for a old vintage Victorian style delicate detailing.  This would be the winner.

I felt this band would match the ring above well too, only in white gold, I hate yellow gold against my skin tone. It clashes with the olive undertones. Could be done in emeralds too. I would not be insane about the idea. I love the touch of emeralds in the ring above as an engagement ring but I could live with it being emeralds for a wedding band. Diamonds just seem to represent something so much more pure in symbolism.

The ring above in Emeralds instead of saphires would be a good match with the ring below. I think it is kind of quirky and artsy. A signature art piece. I like the emerald between the bears but i might opt for a diamond... and silver bears but strangely for reasons that totally negate what I stated above about yellow gold. I do enjoy this pairing.
