The Wedding Concept is Masquerade

I think that this would be a fun underlying theme. As a fashion styling and photography major it is important to me to have some sort of creative aspect that allows for some memorable pictures to be left behind. I would like to create a sense of ethereal mystery. I want to have a reception where everyone has to wear masks through out the dinner, drinks and mingling. I think it would make for the most fun and elegant images.
Here are some inspirational ideas for the concept of the theme. I think that including a simple black  mask with the invitations that state a masquerade reception. prize for the top three, with the best masks. would motivate and inspire people to participate. It is an opportunity to let go, and have fun.

Whether it be a leather studded s&m mask or something with butterflies or gems. Italian styled masks or a piece of lace. I want everyone to be wearing some sort of mask. To me it evokes the idea of the creatures of the night coming out to play. Everyone will be able to have their guard down and feel free. It is like putting on a different persona. I think it also reminds me over a sense of royal subjects preforming for their monarchs. Like nymphs and such. Just beautiful. I quite like the idea of having a good mix of masks inspired by the dark & disturbing and the light and ethereal.
